The Acamdemy of Music presents “Happy Days - A New Musical,” from March 24th to 29th.
Matt Wolf (right), the Kimmel Center’s managing director of theatrical presentations, says the musical reintroduces one of America’s best loved families — the Cunninghams:
“This is based on the hit Paramount Pictures Television series, ‘Happy Days.’ This time capsule is complete with familiar friends — Richie, Potsie, Ralph Malph, Joanie and Chachi, Pinky Tuscadero, and of course the king of cool, Arthur ‘The Fonz’ Fonzarelli.”
And Wolf says this “nifty fifties”-themed musical was created by one of Hollywood’s favorite sons.
“Garry Marshall created, wrote, and produced some of television’s most beloved situational comedies including ‘Happy Days,’ ‘Laverne and Shirley,’ ‘Mork and Mindy,’ and ‘The Odd Couple.’ ”
